I just like making pots. No deep philosophy, simply the hands-on bit. Such a pleasure to throw a row of mugs, bowls or teapots. And then turning to sculpture, all sizes, miniature to life-size. Opening kilns, and finding sometimes delight, sometimes disaster, but always feeling eager to start on the next firing. My production work is once-fired stoneware, and I find it difficult not to decorate all surfaces. I just like it.
